Sunrise Photography Class
Ages 16 to Adult...$80 (6 weeks)
April 10th to May 15th...6am to 8am (yes, it's early but beautiful!)
In this class we will go to various locations around Elmira inculding several trails and
the Floradale Dam to study the effects of morning light in photographs.
Included will be macro and landscape photography. You will also get an 8x10 of your work developed at Brian's Photo Lab here in town.
Spring Painting Workshop
Ages 8 to 10..$25 (includes 1 canvas)
May 29th...2pm to 4pm
we will meet at the Floradale dam with fold-up chairs and acrylic paints and create paintings on canvas using various techniques and colour theory.
Spring Drawing Workshop
Ages 8 to 10...$20
June 5th...2pm to 4pm
We will meet outside the Elmira Public Library and create pencil drawings of buildings in downtown Elmira using perspective and scale.
The Spirit of Emily Carr--Landscape Painting
Ages 16 to Adult...$50 (includes two 8x10 or one 11x14 canvas)
July 7th to July28th...8pm to 9pm
We will create paintings on canvas at a local outdoor location in the style of Emiliy Carr. Emily Carr studied with members of the famous Group of Seven and is best known for her incredible West-Coast paintings of trees and totems. The lighting at this time of day should be excellent for exploring her techniques.
